Computers-Chapters

Approaches to learning- I learned a lot from those chapters. It not only had a good deal of information on a story, but it had vocabulary words. Before the test I always studied those words and most of the time I had good results. This year I was very pleased with myself and my grades. Last year I got a C on one of my report cards and I did not like it.This year I got A's and B's and it was thanks to those chapters.

Math- United States Outline

Approaches to Learning-I learned or accually practiced how to graph the dots. I now I learned, because many of my frineds took way more time than me and had many more mistakes than me. On tests I got good grades when the questions asked me to graph the dots. On the begining I though that the dots for negative nubers were to the right. I discovered or Ms. Garza told me that it was backwards.I think I learned a lot from this activity.

Science-Rat disecction

Approaches to learning- I learned a lot about the body when we did the rat dissection. I did not like the fact that someone killed it just so we would see the inside. I know I learned because I got a good grades on my tests. I told my mom all about it since she used to go to college and learn about that. I also told my sister and she said it was disgusting,but as I said before I learned a lot about it.

Spanish- Book reading

Approches to learning-I learned best by reading those books and stories that Mr. Royer gave us. I know because I know spanish really well, since it ws my first languge, and on the stories there words I did not know. I speak with my mother in spanish and she notices the change to. My sister does not know as much spanish as me and sometimes I teach her words.I think that the reading really helped me.

P.E-Volleyball

Health and Social Education-I like to play a lot and I am used to use my senses and think a lot everyday. Volleyball helps me with that and not to mention that it helps me with the exercise. I am growing up and exercising helps me grow strong.You have to also be careful at what you eat so you don't get to fat and can't play anymore. If you have friends help them with their physical activities too.

Art- Portraits

Approaches to Learning- I learned best to draw doing portraits about animals, people, still life, and about myself. When I started on art I knew how to draw but not as good as I do now. I can communicate through this because I can express my feelings on the color of the drawings. For example: If I am feeling sad I can color it gray or another dark color. Another example is that may be I just put it gray because I like that color.

Social Studies-Native American Model

Homo Faber-We create new stuff with our hands, with machines and other methods, because we want to keep growing.The problem is that sometimes our growth affects us. For example: The atomic bomb killed millions of people. In this project I observed how the Native Americans used to live and how we lived now. I learned a lot from this project about how things change and how they were.

Language Arts-Steps to College

Approaches to Learning-I learned the best by writting down the actual steps of what I was going to do to reach my goal of going to college. It took me little time to think about it because Mr. Winchester told us what to do and somethings to have a better probability of entering a great college. I communicated my understanding by telling other people that did not know about how to enter a college how to do it. This helped me because I have always wanted to go to college. But the only thing I new of how to get in was good grades and now I know that they also look for test grades, extra curricular activities, and more.

I would not anwser the message because, it might contain a virus.

2.Your friend is planning to meet a cyberpal at the mall.
I would tell him/her not to go or to not go alone but with an adult.

3.A cyberpal asks for your address so that she can send you a party invitation.
I would tell my cyberpal to not bother sending it to me or to just tell me at that time.

4.A Web site asks for your full name and date of birth in order to enter you in a sweepstakes.
I would simply not enter the web site.
